Background remover
Drop in a photograph and the subject comes away with its edges intact. The preview happens on your own hardware, which is why it is instant and why it costs nothing.
Previews are free and unmetered. Exports cost one credit each — from £2.66for 3.

What actually happens
A model decides, roughly, which pixels belong to the subject. This is the part that has become easy. When a tool cuts out the wrong object, this is the step that failed.
That coarse mask becomes a per-pixel opacity between 0 and 1. A pixel at the edge of a strand of hair is genuinely part hair and part sky; forcing it to choose is what makes a cutout look cut out with scissors.
Edge pixels still carry the colour of the background you just discarded. Re-estimating the subject’s true colour there is the difference between a clean edge and one that looks outlined in highlighter.

The hard bits

The free preview runs entirely inside your browser tab. The photograph is never sent anywhere — no upload, no server-side queue, no copy sitting in a bucket. Open your browser’s network panel while you use it and you will see nothing leave.
Three reliable failure cases: a subject the same tone as its background (a white shirt against a white wall), heavy motion blur, and reflective surfaces photographed against a busy scene, where the reflection genuinely contains the background. Everything else is usually one pass.
Yes. Paint a keep stroke over anything that was wrongly removed and a remove stroke over anything that came along uninvited. Refinements are free — a credit is spent on the export, not on the attempts.
The preview does, once the model has been cached by your browser. The paid export needs a connection, because that is where the credit is checked and the full-resolution file is produced.
The practical limit is your device’s memory rather than a policy we set. Phones handle around 12 megapixels comfortably; a desktop will go well past 50. If a photograph is too large the tool says so before it starts rather than failing halfway.
Same engine, different last step.
