Solid colour
White for marketplaces, your brand colour for advertising. A flat field has no lighting of its own, so it can never contradict the subject’s.
Background changer
The cutout does not move. What sits behind it is yours to choose — a plain colour, a scene from the library, or a backdrop of your own that you reuse across a whole batch.
Previews are free and unmetered. Exports cost one credit each — from £2.66for 3.

Three kinds of background
White for marketplaces, your brand colour for advertising. A flat field has no lighting of its own, so it can never contradict the subject’s.

A studio wall, a city street, a coast road. Good for lifestyle and secondary listing images — and prohibited on most marketplace main images, so keep them separate.

Your showroom, your set, your studio wall. Upload once, apply to every photograph, and a forecourt batch starts looking like one indoor shoot.

Making it convincing
Neither of them is the quality of the cutout.
If the subject is lit from the left and the new scene is lit from the right, every viewer registers that something is wrong before they can say what. Choose a backdrop whose light runs the same way as the subject’s — it is a filter on which scenes work, not a step you perform.
A subject with no shadow does not sit on the ground; it hovers over it. Even a small, hard shadow directly beneath where the subject meets the surface is enough to land it, and it is the single highest-return adjustment in the whole composite.
Two things give it away, and neither is the cutout. The light direction does not match — the subject is lit from the left, the new scene from the right — and there is no contact shadow where the subject meets the surface. Fix those two and most people cannot tell.
Yes. Upload a backdrop once and reuse it across every photograph you process, which is how dealerships and studios get a whole batch looking like one shoot on one set.
The scenes in the library are Pexels photographs, free for commercial use. Every photographer is named on our Credits page. If you need certainty for a specific commercial campaign, use your own backdrop.
Only if you ask. By default the subject keeps its position and scale and the background is fitted behind it, because moving the subject is the fastest way to break the perspective.
Yes — any hex value, including your brand colour. A flat colour field is often the better choice for advertising, because it has no lighting of its own to contradict the subject’s.
